The Music of KALA is crafted to challenge more experienced musicians, while also giving beginner and intermediate performers opportunities to grow and shine. Featured roles include tuneful solos, rock-tinged bops, and pop-inspired harmonies, while each group of supporting roles gets several moments to shine. Every cast and chorus member is an important part of the fabric of the show!
The pit orchestra is based around a piano-driven rock band, supplemented by a cinematic string and wind ensemble.
The violin, clarinet, and cello parts have been reduced to the Synthesizer 2 book for maximizing the ensemble in larger theatres, and replacing additional instruments in smaller spaces.
The materials provided for your production of KALA include:
Full Conductor’s Score
Piano/Vocal Score
Synthesizer 1
Synthesizer 2 (Optional String/Wind Reduction)*
Electric Guitar w/Pedals
