“Somewhere Confidential” Wins Best Feature Film Score (and arrives on YouTube)!

Film composer Andrew M. Edwards is pleased to announce that his score for the film "Somewhere Confidential" was awarded Best Feature Score at the 2025 Puerto Aventuras International Film Festival.

The massive, 100+ minute score for writer/director Casey Siegel’s impressive labor of love is an homage to classic noir scores (Herrmann, Deutsch, and Tiomkin) with heavy drizzles of 60s spy-fi (The Avengers, Mission: Impossible) and 70s BBC Radiophonic Workshop (of course). It was an absolute pleasure to welcome performers Adam Dib (saxophones), Michael Van Bodegom-Smith (trumpets, flugelhorn), and Nathaniel Geiger (tenor and bass trombone) on board, adding a sumptuous layer of jazzy brass goodness.

The soundtrack album is streaming on Apple Music and Spotify, featuring every piece of music from the film, including the on-screen songs written and performed by some of Portland, Oregon’s best independent musicians. The album can also be streamed and purchased on Bandcamp, the most direct way to support the artists you listen to financially.
