Work begins on our 12th Annual Video for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation of Illinois Field Museum Gala!

For the last 13 years, Director/Producer John Klein and his team have created the beautiful short video piece that serves as the centerpiece of the annual Cystic Fibrosis Foundation of Illinois fundraising gala at Chicago’s Field Museum. It has been my absolute honor to craft the music for the previous eleven, and this year makes twelve!
Editor Ali Klingler has assembled another beautiful and unique narrative from John and company’s terrific cinematography. It’s always a challenge to craft new music while retaining the appropriate vibe.
Witnessing the radical improvements to the lives of so many folks living with CF from this unique perch has been incredibly inspiring. Around our 6th or 7th video, the new drug, Trikafta, became available, and with that, the quality of life and life expectancy for people living with CF skyrocketed. There is still work to do, but seeing new hope and new possibilities is just incredible. The fact that the subject of this year’s film is pushing 40 and having children would’ve been a pipe dream 10 years ago.
Always nice to be using our powers for good.
